The Black Crows Camox Freebird is a lightweight touring ski built for downhill-focused freeride tours. Its construction pairs a paulownia core with carbon and glass fibre, keeping weight low while maintaining a balanced, playful flex. A progressive rocker in the tip and a light rocker in the tail give the ski easy pivot initiation and float in soft snow, while a classic camber underfoot preserves edge grip and stability on firmer terrain.
With a 95 mm waist and a 136-95-114 sidecut, the Camox Freebird feels nimble and manoeuvrable in tight terrain, yet confident enough to open up on open slopes. The semi-cap construction and ABS sidewalls provide a smooth, predictable ride, and the Titanal reinforcement under the binding area adds a touch of solidity when the pace quickens. It is designed for freetouring and descent-oriented ski tours, where the journey up is a means to a rewarding powder run down.
