The Beast PC Avalanche Shovel from Ortovox is a super-light yet enormously stable backcountry companion. Weighing just 590 g, it combines a generous 2.3-litre lifting volume with high side walls to move snow efficiently. Its blade features a stabilising central web and anti-slip tread grooves, while the sharp cutting edge bites cleanly into firm snow—making it dependable when every second counts.

The telescopic shaft uses a T-handle that adapts comfortably for right- and left-handed users, and the oval stick shape provides a secure, stable grip. Low weight is achieved through innovative materials and recesses in both blade and handle, without compromising strength.
